Mini Dolphin

Materials: worsted weight yarn, size F crochet hook, polyester fiberfill, (2) 4mm half round beads, glue gun

Size: approx 3.5 inches long

Notes: Work in continuous rounds. Worked mainly in slip stitches. This pattern is worked "inside-out." You will be stitching around the inside of the dolphin body.

Body (starting at head)

1) Ch 4, join w/ sl st to form ring, ch 1, sl st 6 around (6)

2) Sl st 2, 2 sl st in next st, sl st 3 (7)

3) 2 sl st in each of next 3 st, sl st 1, 2 sl st in each of next 2 st, sl st 1 (12)

4 - 5) Sl st in each st around (12)

6) Flippers: (Ch 4, sl st in 2nd st from hook and in next st), sl st 3, repeat in (), sl st 9 (12)

7) Sl st 8, [ch 4, sl st in 2nd st from hook and in next 2 st (fin1)], sl st 4 (12)

8) Sl st 8, [ch 3, sl st in 2nd st from hook and in next st (fin2)], sl st 4 (12)

9) Sl st 8, [ch 2, sl st in 2nd st from hook (fin3)], sl st 4 (12)

10 - 11) Sl st in each st around (12)

12) Sl st 8, skip next st, sl st 3 (11)

13) Sl st in each st around (11) Stuff body.

14) (Sl st 4, skip next st) 2 times, sl st (9)

15) Sl st, skip next st, sl st 7 (8)

16) Sl st in each st around (8) Stuff rest of body.

17) (Skip next st, sl st) 2 times, sl st, [ch 4, sl st in 2nd st from hook, ch 1, dc, sc (tail fins)], sl st across rnd, repeat in [], fasten off. Weave end into dolphin body.

Assembly: Hot glue the 3 parts of the dorsal fin (fin1, fin2, fin3) together. Secure tail fins to body w/ small amount of hot glue. Glue eyes onto face.
